Getting Started

  • Supported File Types: LaunchDocs accepts PDF, DOCX, TXT, MD, VTT, SRT, and CSV. Zoom VTT transcripts strip timestamps for dialogue extraction. Max file size is 10MB.
  • Source File Quality: Good source material includes Jira exports, PRD documents, meeting notes, transcripts, API specs, and more. Better context yields better results.

Generation

  • Draft Types: “Fast Draft” uses Claude Haiku for speed, while “High Quality” uses Claude Sonnet for detailed output. Both depend on your content.
  • AI Behavior: The AI uses only provided content; it does not search external data. Unclear information is flagged for review.
  • Page Generation: Page count correlates with content size. Less than 5,000 characters might create up to 3 pages; larger sizes mean more pages.
  • Failure Protocols: A secondary AI provider ensures continuity if the primary fails. Errors prompt retry notices only if both fail.

Editing and Versions

  • Content Editing: Fully editable, supporting various formats with auto-saved changes.
  • Version History: Up to 20 stored snapshots with restore capability, comparing changes via diff view.

Approvals and Export

  • Reviewer Access: No account needed; email link allows full functionality.
  • Unavailability Handling: Admin overrides are logged with reasons for accountability.
  • Variable Resolution: Tokens resolve upon preview or export, ensuring polished output.
  • Team Collaboration: Growth and Scale plans support unlimited users with varied permission roles.

Security

  • Data Storage: Encrypted storage in MongoDB Atlas, segregated by organization.
  • Project Data Access: No cross-access; every call is isolated to specific project uploads.
  • SSO and MFA: Supported via SAML 2.0 and Okta on Scale plans with optional MFA enforcement.
